Description: “ Nandyal is our seat. We are going to field our candidate in the by-election,” said YSR Congress Party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Nandyal assembly seat fell vacant after its MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy died of heart attack a couple of days ago.

In a dialogue with the media in Amaravathi, Jagan lashed out at the TDP government alleging that it had politicized even the death of Bhuma Nagi Reddy. AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was making political criticism even during condolence meeting, he added.

Explaning about giving a miss to the condolence motion, Jagan said “I did not go into the House because If I have to speak about him, I would have to speak about his betrayal too which may not sound appropriate since it is a condolence motion. I did not want my words about his mistakes to go into Assembly records. I wanted only tributes paid by the members go into the records,” he said.

If Chandrababu did a mistake then Nagi Reddy also did a mistake, Jagan commented. He said that he felt sad over Nagi Reddy’s demise. The YSRCP leader said he was the first leader to express his deep sympathies to the then bereaved Reddy family members soon after the death of YSR. He went on to accuse the Chief Minister of bringing Akhila Priya to the House barely 48 hours after her father’s death. Naidu even did not give her time to spend with her family at this time of greatest tragedy, he criticized.

“Chandrababu lured Bhuma into the TDP by promising to make him a minister within three days. Nagi Reddy told us that he is switching parties hoping to get minister post with tears in his eyes. But that promise was not kept even after a year, pushing Bhuma into a depression,” Jagan alleged. Even after knowing that minister post could not be given to Nagi Reddy who changed parties, Naidu assured Nagi Reddy minister post, he pointed out.

Jagan said that if he inducts anyone into his party, he will make them to resign and reelect him/her. ‘Ours is hero politics and Naidu’s is villain politics,’ he commented.
